Neeraj Chopra secured the Golden Spike title at the World Athletics Continental Tour Gold event in Ostrava. Despite the victory, the Olympic champion expressed reservations about his performance.

Chopra's winning throw measured 85.29m, achieved in the third round. This followed a foul on his first attempt and a throw of 83.45m in the second. Although he led the nine-man field, Chopra voiced his dissatisfaction.
"I am not that happy with my performance today, but I am very happy with the trophy I won," Chopra stated. He further added, "I used to watch this meeting a lot as a kid... Now the dream has come true."
His subsequent throws were 82.17m and 81.01m, with a foul in the final round. Chopra acknowledged the enthusiastic support of the Czech crowd, expressing regret that he could not deliver a better performance. He had previously surpassed the 90m mark at the Doha Diamond League in May, where he finished second.
The 27-year-old is scheduled to compete at the NC Classic in Bengaluru on July 5.
